 I will be the first to admit, this book was very difficult to review! Between being conflict if I liked it or not, I really could not decide. This book had it all. Well developed characters, thought out plot, lyrical flow of words, and wolves. If you have not noticed by now, I love to read books with romance in it, even the tiniest bit. 
 With Grace now being a Wolf, it feels like if the script has been flipped. As if Forever is the opposite of Shiver. The problem, as it has been in every book, is always the hunters and the seasonal shifting. While Grace is running around in her wolf form, Sam is worried everyday that she does not pop up dead or ends up going too far.  Even through all these hardships, you can still feel their love growing stronger with each page. 
  What I really liked that Maggie added in to this book, was how Grace realized the reality of a relationship could not just be torn apart by death or the nature of wolves, but also in other ways. In a lot of YA books, it is mostly about Happily Ever After and " He is the love of my life". There is no sense of reality, like what happens after happily ever after? Not many authors, realize that not every couple are meant to be together. 
  This is a series I would recommend to a lot of Post-Twilight teens. This is the way a romantic teen novel should go! And there are no Sparkles.

 The real point of re-reading this book was not only so I can get a refresher of how the series began, but also so I can have a reason to talk about all things True Blood. Before I start comparing, I have to say, this was quite the entertaining book! There were moments I could not stop laughing. I had originally started reading this story post-sparkly vampires, so I was in shock at how this world was so easily created.

 In this humorous story, Sookie, a waitress at a bar in the deep deep deep down south, finds herself in the presence of a vampire and little did she know, that guy would bring her a hit HBO tv series and best selling book series in the next few years. 

Just had to add that in.

This book is definitely not for kids or young teens!

Even though Sookie had been a twenty something year old virgin, Bill sure took care of that. Nice and slow. With him being a 300+ vamp, he sure knew what he was doing! 

The first moment you pick this book up, you would not expect to read about sex, blood being sold as drugs, or other serious related topics. But that is what makes reading it so much fun. Between the humor, there always lies an underlying message. 

Do not be fooled!

This series like any other turned into a movie or a show, deviates from the original plot lines. There will be characters added, characters taken out, little snip cuts....

So if you read the book, then decide to watch the show, do not be surprised. You have been warned!

The ingenuity of creating these kinds of story strike me as amazing. I have always had a passion for history and mythology. That was what had attracted me to this story in the first place. It's not too often that you read about Greek gods being your mom, dad, uncle, third cousin twice removed blah blah blah. The worst part about it is how careful authors have to be when it comes to writing stories with a mythological aspect. They can seriously screw it up with one little mistake (ex. Aphrodite, goddess of war? Not). Now I am going to point out 2 things that bother me about this book.

1. How fast Helen and Lucas fell in love.

One minute, she is ready to gauge his eyes out and beat the crap out of him. The next its like " I just can't stop thinking about him". I had made a promise to myself that I would not compare any books to Twilight, but this one was just cutting it pretty close. If Twilight and Percy Jackson had a baby, this would be the outcome. Between the fast and attraction-less romance to the mythology, everything was scrambled up. 

Which brings me to the second thing that had bothered me. 

    2. The actual writing gave me a partial headache. 

As readers, we have trained ourselves to analyze books as a sixth sense. When you read a book where there is a lack of dialogue and most of what you see is random thoughts "trying" to build up towards some important moment, it makes you very restless. There really was no flow of words. I personally believe that a story should flow together and not be choppy.

The over all plot is absolutely genius. 

Now if it would have been  written a little better, I probably would have loved it.

True Blood: Guts, Blood, and... Eric!

Yes Folks! It is that time of the year again. So get ready to put all the kids to sleep early tonight because the premiere season of HBO's best show ever True Blood, will be on tonight. The wait has been long but I can tell you that it will be quite all right when we get to see Eric!

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for these books. People have said so many great things, and so many not-so-good things. Since I do not always go by someone else's reviews, thought I will do my own for these books. Lets hope they reach expectations!

What to Expect this summer!

Review: Love Story by Jennifer Echols

Can I first say how swoon worthy this story was? The entire time I read the story, I kept checking my pulse to make sure I was not going to have a heart attack or anything. For some great phenomenal reason, Echols just knows how to write a great story. She does not try to over dose us with non-substantial info we obviously don't give a crap about (*Hunger Games*), and she knows just how to keep a reader intrigued with out pushing the limits. 

After being disinherited from her grandmother's fortune, Erin took the initiative and went o NY to start her journey towards becoming a writer. She worked hard, tough jobs (almost getting arrested at one), only to follow her dream. That all changes when the guy who stole her inheritance comes strutting into her Creative Writing class and changes everything. The worst possible thing about his presence is the fact that she knows that she still has lingering feelings for Hunter. Without getting too much into detail, lets leave this at the fact that when it comes to old money, they will always try to get their way, even if it means hurting everyone in the process. 

The Attraction between Erin and Hunter is something that you can sense miles away if it was possible. Echols really banged the nail with these characters, giving them purpose and realism. This book will not only suck you in, but it will stay on your mind for days to come. 

Sexual Content- Kissing, sexual references, vague sexual encounters, insinuated sex scene.
